This is a translation of our German privacy policy for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version shall prevail.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
IoT Invent GmbH, Lise-Meitner-Str. 7, 85737 Ismaning, Germany · Email: info(at)iot-invent.com
2. General information on data processing
As a matter of principle, we process personal data only where this is necessary to provide a functioning website along with our content and services, or where you have given your consent. Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
3. Visiting the website (server log files)
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records information transmitted by your browser (server log files): among other things, your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and the browser and operating system used.
This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a technically flawless presentation and in security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are subsequently deleted.
4. Contact form and getting in touch
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. first and last name, email address, telephone number, company name, postal address, and the content of your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to info(at)iot-invent.com. We store the data until your enquiry has been conclusively dealt with, and beyond that only where statutory retention periods apply.
4.1 Technical transmission of the form message (Amazon SES)
To deliver the form message to our mailbox we use the email dispatch service Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) provided by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg.
When you submit the form, the data you entered and the IP address of your connection are transmitted to a processing endpoint in the AWS region Europe (Frankfurt am Main) and processed there solely to generate and send the email. The form content is not stored beyond the dispatch process; technical log data (excluding form content) is deleted after 7 days.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, together with our legitimate interest in reliable and deliverable message dispatch (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider; should access from a third country occur, the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission apply.
4.2 Measuring the success of our Google Ads
If you reach this website via one of our ads on Google, Google appends a random click identifier (“gclid”) to the address of the page you open. If you then submit the contact form, this identifier is transmitted to us together with your enquiry. No cookies are set and no information is stored on your device for this purpose; the identifier is merely read from the address of the page you opened or of the page on this website you visited immediately before.
If your enquiry leads to a business contact, we report the click identifier to Google together with the time of the enquiry – without your name, your email address or the content of your message. This tells us which ads lead to enquiries. The recipient is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out; it takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the success of our advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this processing at any time, for example by email to info(at)iot-invent.com; we will then not report the identifier to Google. We store the identifier for no more than 90 days.
5. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website is deliberately lean in technical terms: it sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no third-party content (such as fonts, maps or videos from external providers). No evaluation of your browsing behaviour takes place. The only exception: if you come via a Google ad and send us an enquiry, we use the click identifier as described in section 4.2 – without cookies and without storing anything on your device.
6. Hosting
This website is hosted by a service provider that processes personal data (in particular the server log files referred to above) on our behalf:
IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany
7. Disclosure of data
Your personal data is not passed on to third parties — with the exception of the processors named above (hosting under section 6, email dispatch under section 4.1), to Google under section 4.2, or where we are legally obliged to do so. Hosting and email dispatch take place on servers within the European Union; for a possible transfer to Google in the USA, see section 4.2.
8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
9. Notice on AI-generated content
Some content on this website was created or edited with the help of AI-assisted tools (artificial intelligence) - graphics, for example. All published content is editorially reviewed before publication.
10. Version
This privacy policy is dated 7 October 2026. We reserve the right to amend it if the legal situation or our processing activities change.
